The A11y Rules Podcast is commited to diversity.
Diversity comes in many different ways (well, that’s diversity, isn’t it?).
My primary goal is to talk to people who have something interesting to say. Every guest is different. I will not speak to someone merely because they are a woman, have a disability, or are a person of color.
That said, I aim to increase the show’s diversity by having guests who are part of one, or more, under-represented groups, including, but not limited to:
- People with disabilities
- Women
- People from varied ethnic backgrounds
I also aim to increase the diversity by having guests from different part of the world. As of the time of this writing, I’ve spoken with guests in or from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Netherlands, Portugal, India, and Germany. More geographical areas will be covered as time goes on.
I also am talking to people from the LGBT+ community. But people’s sexual orientation is not germaine to the topic of web accessibility. I don’t ask that question on this show. And you can’t hear it in someone’s voice or see it on someone’s photo.
If you have concerns about guest diversity on the A11y Rules Podcast, or have suggestions for guests, please contact me.
